Equine 2 - Eliana Reutlinger


While Eli was attempting to calm her horse down, a Friesian colt, due to the high winds, there was a break in the clouds, so positioned myself to shoot directly into the sun.   I used a speed light to illuminate the fore ground and set the exposure for the back ground.   I think I achieved an interesting effect.  A little post-processing to bring out the clouds a bit more and reduce the noise - here is the end result.  If you want to find out how I did this, the following book is a great resource; Strobist Photo Trade Secrets Volume 1: Expert Lighting Techniques
