I took several photographs of my son sitting on the rocks while we watched the sun set in Kihei, Hawaii. The second photograph that I took I used fill flash. This first photograph was the one I selected. I liked the effect of my son's silhouette with the sunset as a backdrop much more than the photograph with him illuminated against the dark background.
